ADVANCED DIETARY ANALYSIS
What is it?
Overall assessment and analysis of diet including calorie, macro- and micronutrient intakes.
Why is it important?
Dietary analysis data can be used to inform individual nutrition plans that adapt your current intake to improve health, wellbeing and sporting performance through identifying:
-
over- or under-consumption of macro- or micro-nutrients
-
deficiencies in macro- or micro-nutrients
-
patterns of dietary intake throughout the day and week
-
caloric intake throughout the day and week
-
Reasons for lack of/excessive weight gain or loss when used in conjunction with energy expenditure data
What it involves?
Participants must complete a 4-7-day food diary in which they record all food, drink and supplement intake. Food diary data is analysed using professional analytical software to provide a full dietary analysis report which is discussed in detail with the participant and used to inform their individual plan.
